Our frequent and periodic overhead crane inspections provide you with a full digital report on your crane and hoist equipment, allowing

you to plan maintenance and repairs to keep your equipment operating efficiently, reliably, and safely.

Hook & Wire Rope Inspections
  • Items shall be inspected for defects as per OSHA 1910.179 and ANSI standards
  • Inspections intervals dependent on use of crane, as frequent as monthly
  • Trained and certified inspectors required
  • Inspection of the hook and components with repair recommendations as needed
  • Inspection of wire rope for wear, damage and proper lubrication with repair recommendations as needed
  • Additional NDT testing can also be provided
Below the Hook Inspections
  • Items shall be inspected for defects as per OSHA 1910.179 standards
  • We can provide inspections for slings, chains, lifting beams, and coil hooks
  • Inspection of items for damage, breaks and missing tags
  • Inspection of correct markings, operating mechanisms, components, mechanical parts and structure
  • Offer recommendations for repairs or parts as needed
  • Additional NDT testing can also be provided

 

Frequent Inspections
  • Items shall be inspected for defects as per OSHA 1910.179 and ANSI standards
  • Trained and certified inspectors required
  • Inspection intervals dependent on use of crane, as frequent as daily
  • Inspection of the hook and components
  • Inspection of wire rope for wear, damage and proper lubrication
  • Operational inspection of control, brakes and limit switches, upper/lower blocks, oil leakage, and correct tags and markings
  • Offer recommendations for repairs or parts as needed
Periodic Overhead Crane Inspections
  • Detailed operational and visual inspection
  • Inspection intervals dependent on use of crane, as often as quarterly
  • Trained and certified inspectors required
  • Items shall be inspected for defects by OSHA 1910.179 and ANSI standards
  • Inspection of main line collector, conductor and switches
  • Inspection of runway switches and conductors
  • Inspection of all parts and components of the bridge
  • Inspection of all parts and components of the trolley
  • Inspection of all parts and components of the main and auxiliary hoist (if applicable)
  • Inspection of all parts and components of the cab (if applicable)
  • Inspection of warning device, accurate tags and markings, clearance and crane access
  • Offer recommendations for repairs or parts as needed
Runway Inspections
  • Visual examination of conditions of connections, individual components and overall structure
  • Repair recommendations and repair procedure if necessary
  • Detailed survey recommendation if necessary
  • Engineer required

During the Inspection

  • Begin with an initial data collection
  • Perform specified inspection type utilizing digital inspection software
  • Photos taken of deficiencies to be included in report

Post-Inspection

  • Receipt of digital printed copy of your inspection report within 48 hours
  • Receipt of a list of recommended parts and necessary repairs as needed within 72 hours

  • Our Service Department is available 24/7 to repair any components 
  • Our Parts Department will ensure that you get your replacement parts as soon as possible to keep your facility up and running
  • Schedule repeat inspections to ensure the longevity of your equipment

Our Digital Database 

Our technicians utilize tablets and digital inspection software to enter digital reports and to take photos of inspected equipment. This digital inspection software allows us to store past and present data collected at our customer’s facility.
